Whereas the Town of Columbus Planning Board has proposed the following Application Fees and Fines pertaining to the Town's laws;
And whereas such fees and fines may help assure orderly growth in the Town: Resolved the Town of Columbus adopts the following fees and fines: FEES: $4,000 fee per commercial wind tower and commercial communications tower. $1,000 per meteorological tower. $50 per non-commercial wind tower, up to 200 feet in height. $100 Site Plan Review application fee for structures less than 50,000 square fee; $5,000 for commercial structures exceeding 50,000 square feet. FINES: Non compliance with Site Plan Review Law on projects of up to 50,000 square feet: $1,000. Non-compliance with Site Plan Review Law on projects exceeding 50,000 square feet: $50,000. Whereas REM Fire Systems, Inc. of 206 George St. Rome, NY has submitted the low bid of $9,700 to install a fire call-out system that would connect directly to Chenango County's Dispatch Center. And whereas REM's proposal has been reviewed by a state engineer and the Town's attorney, and does include a one-year warranty And whereas the Town of Columbus has received a $4,000 grant from the NYS Office of Court Administration to help defray the cost of this system, and has the balance within the 2015 General Budget. Therefore the Town of Columbus accepts the proposal from REM to install a fire call-out system in the Town's highway garage, and attached offices and courtroom. TENTATIVE AGENDA
